-------BREAKING NEWS------

Allegheny East Conference Resumes Full Camp Meeting Schedule

[Pine Forge, PA] On June 26, the Allegheny East Conference camp grounds experienced a power outage as well as damages to several buildings due to a severe thunderstorm. An abbreviated morning church service was held at the Luther R. Palmer Pavilion on Saturday, June 27.

Conference administration made the decision to not allow off-campus attendees on the campgrounds because of sanitation issues. Because the campground’s water supply is operated on a well system, electricity was needed to pump the water for fresh water and toilets. Full electrical power was restored back to the campgrounds on Saturday evening, June 27.

All seminars/programs have resumed as scheduled.

Allegheny East Conference Office Complex Construction Begins

After more than 60 years in its present location and of planning and hoping, the long awaited construction of the new Allegheny East Conference Office Complex is underway. Standing before a huge banner that read, "Allegheny East on the MOVVVE, We are Builders of Faith, Hope, and Community", the three conference administrators, along with the architects and some staff and members of the Executive Committee broke ground for the final time. Twenty four hours later bulldozers began moving the earth to cut in the new road that goes to the construction site.

To follow the construction progress, log onto this site. We promise to have updates for you weekly once the actual building is under way. For now, however, pray that the weather will cooperate and that we can maintain the timeline which puts the grand opening about 18 months away.

The Women’s Ministries Department of the Allegheny East Conference of Seventh-day Adventists invites you to retreat with them. Participants will reflect on the theme, “Redeemed by the Blood of the Lamb!” Seminars are planned with a wide range of topics including, “Single and Happy”, service projects in the local schools, and soup kitchens. There will also be special seminars for young women ages (12-17) during the event. We will leave indelible footprints in the sands of Atlantic City. Bring your favorite tea cup to commemorate the final moments of a special time together.
